FPT Industrial achieves monthly production record in China

FPT Industrial, CNH Industrial's brand of engines, axles, transmissions and power generators, has resumed full production in China, after taking all measures to mitigate the effects of Covid-19 in its factory and commercial areas, respecting health regulations. international health and safety. The acceleration of production came soon after, as the supply of essential equipment is essential for the resumption of activities in China and around the world.

After the difficult time of the pandemic, positive signs of recovery in China began to appear, in the first nation to control the crisis. With the gradual return to work and the increase in industrial activities, encouraging business results give confidence to companies around the world. This encouragement was recently recorded during the month of April at SFH, a joint venture of FPT Industrial based in Chongqing, China.

Growing demand in China's heavy truck market led SFH to record a new monthly record for Cursor engine production, up 6% from the previous record in 2018, when the sector in the country reached an unprecedented peak.

The brand's factory in the Asian country resumed production in early February with extensive measures implemented to ensure the health and safety of all employees. Following a carefully developed plan, activity was gradually resumed to full capacity.

A leading supplier of engines to local commercial vehicle manufacturers, SFH has four cylinder and cylinder head production lines and two assembly lines. The factory operates 24 hours a day with extra shifts to ensure deliveries to its customers, including SIH, CNH Industrial's heavy truck joint venture in Chongqing, meeting the growing market demand that has been impacted.

FPT Industrial in China 

Founded in 2007 by FPT Industrial in partnership with SAIC Motor and Chongqing Machine Equipment, SFH is one of the largest engine manufacturers in China and a pioneer in low-emission engines. With around 700 employees, the company manufactures Cursor engines for heavy commercial vehicles and construction equipment for use on road e off-road, as well as for power generation and marine applications. The factory exports part of its production to markets around the world and produces engines that comply with Stage V and Euro VI emissions for the North American and European markets, respectively.
