Cooxupé Coffee and Climate Forum takes place this Wednesday (31)

The 6th edition of the event will feature experts to present scenarios for the 2025 coffee harvest

The 6th Coffee and Climate Technical Forum of the Regional Coffee Growers Cooperative in Guaxupé will take place this Wednesday, July 31st, from 14pm to 17pm, at the Cooxupé headquarters. There will also be online broadcast via Hub do Café and the cooperative's YouTube channel. 

At this meeting, experts will present to coffee producers the conditions of coffee crops in Cooxupé's area of ​​operation, as well as scenarios about the current harvest and the prospects for 2025, based on technical climatological and environmental information. 

The meteorological conditions that occurred in the 2024/2025 harvest and their consequences in the coffee growing regions of Cooxupé will be analyzed by agronomist Guilherme Vinícius Teixeira, coordinator of the cooperative's Geoprocessing department. 

The agrometeorologist and agronomist, Marco Antônio dos Santos, founding partner of the company Rural Clima, will present the “Climate forecasts for the 2025 harvest – how to prevent La Niña”. 

The third and final lecture will be by professor Dr. José Donizeti Alves, agronomist and professor at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA). He will discuss the “Impacts of adverse weather on coffee physiology: an analysis of the 2024 harvest and perspectives for 2025”. 

The Forum will be mediated by Mário Ferraz Araújo, agronomist and technical development manager at Cooxupé.
