Producers in western Bahia remain optimistic with firm prices and the expectation of surpassing the results of the previous cycle, and are already paying attention to harvest planning for the coming years, which should include even more investments in innovation and technology used in the field.
In search of high productivity and profitability, farmers in the state will present, from March 13th to 15th, at Agro Rosário, in Correntina, solutions to maintain competitiveness in the face of a scenario that indicates a 40,9% greater production of corn in the next decade , according to Agribusiness Projections from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply and Embrapa.
In the demonstration areas of the event, corn hybrids adapted to the region's climatic conditions will be in evidence, such as the recently launched and already tested FS670, and early corn hybrids tolerant to pressure from pests and diseases, such as the FS610, which brings more stability with quality of the grain, especially in areas with the presence of nematodes. Other highlights that can be seen in the technological showcases are high-productivity engines such as the FS564, FS505, FS715 and FS620.
“Western Bahia is a region of great opportunities and should contribute significantly to the advancement of the grain harvest in the country. Many producers are already planning the summer harvest and are looking forward to new technologies and corn hybrids with a high production ceiling, to increase the potential for development in the field, with quality and sustainability”, says Forseed’s Market Development Manager, Paulo César Jr.
The materials presented at the event feature the new PowerCore Ultra technology, for pest control and weed management, as well as Cruiser and Fortenza Duo industrial seed treatment, protecting the crop in its initial stages and allowing the hybrid to express its maximum potential. of income and productivity.
