The forecast for the coming days indicates irregular and low-volume rainfall in some areas of Rio Grande do Sul. This is what the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 20/2025 points out, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).

This Friday (16/05), the action of a high pressure system will keep the weather stable in practically the entire state, with no forecast of significant rainfall. Tomorrow (17/05), the formation of a low pressure system near the coast could cause light to moderate rain in isolated areas in the regions of the Western Border, Campanha, South, South Coast, Missões and Central. However, in most of the state, the weather will remain stable, with no forecast of significant rainfall. Temperatures will show a slight and gradual increase until Sunday (18/05) in most of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with higher values predicted for the Western Border, Missões and Metropolitan regions.

Rain may still occur in isolated areas over the weekend, especially in the southern part of the state. On Monday (19/05) and Tuesday (20/05), the advance of a cold front may significantly change weather conditions. Rain is forecast for much of Rio Grande do Sul, with the possibility of moderate to heavy rain on Tuesday, especially in the regions of Missões, Central, Campanha and Sul. On Wednesday (21/05), rainfall volumes tend to be slightly less significant than on Tuesday, mainly concentrated in the North, Serra and Campos de Cima da Serra regions. On Tuesday and Wednesday, temperatures may drop sharply, with lower values predicted for the regions of Serra, Campos de Cima da Serra, Fronteira Oeste, Campanha and Sul.

The forecast indicates that more significant rainfall will occur on May 20 and May 05. Accumulated rainfall may exceed 21 mm in isolated areas of the Western Border, Missões and Campanha regions. In other locations, rainfall volumes should vary between 05 mm and 50 mm throughout the period, with less significant amounts in the northern part of the state.
