Fast Riser 6100 Planter
Developed in Brazil, the Fast Riser 6100 planter won, for the second consecutive year, the AE50 international award. This time, it was the 3-section model, launched in 2021, which was recognized by ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers) for its agricultural innovations. The patented weight distribution system on the wings that offers uniform plant emergence (when the seeds are planted homogeneously) is the highlight of the planter manufactured at the CNH Industrial unit in Piracicaba (SP).
The North American entity takes into account products that save producers time and reduce costs, while increasing user safety. Annually, ASABE awards 50 products with the most significant innovations in the areas of engineering and technology for the agricultural, food and biological areas. The award has been held for 36 years and considers products manufactured around the world. In addition to the Fast Riser, Case IH won two other awards.
“It is very important for Case IH to once again receive recognition from an award that honors innovative products focused on productivity, two essential pillars for the brand. The Fast Riser with 3 sections has the same technologies as the larger version, which we consider a revolution in high-performance planting”, comments Rodrigo Alandia, Product Marketing Director at Case IH for Latin America.

Successful in versions from 48 to 61 rows of 5 sections, the Case IH folding planter was launched with 3 sections, in versions of 27, 36 and 40 rows, in June 2021. The new models have the best transportability on the market and provide truly uniform plant emergence, from the first to the last row.
More about the planter
Fast Riser's 27, 36 and 40-line models have the same technologies as the larger 48- and 61-line versions, but stand out for bringing flexibility and ease when transporting. “Foldable, it has a transport width of 3,2m in just 1 minute. Without needing to leave the cabin, the operator activates the transport mode and can proceed to the destination within the farm or even on the highway, safely and with great agility”, comments André Peres, Product Marketing Manager at Case IH.

The folding planter also has two seed reservoirs with a capacity of up to 4.000kg and only two greasing points. “One of the pillars of Agronomic Design is the availability of equipment to the farmer. With the excellent capacity of seed tanks and ease of maintenance, the producer has greater availability of the planter, spending much more time in the field planting and with much fewer stops for supply and maintenance”, explains Peres.
A great highlight of the Fast Riser is the patented weight distribution system in the wings, which provides absolute precision in seed depth in all rows. The central region of folding planters concentrates around 70% of the equipment's weight. Therefore, the hydraulic automatic weight distribution system automatically distributes the weight to the sides of the planter, ensuring that all planter lines have the same weight in contact with the ground. The result is: total uniformity of seed depth and, consequently, emergence of 98% of plants in just 3 days.
