Basf presents new features during the 26th Hortitec - Technical Exhibition of Horticulture, Protected Cultivation and Intensive Crops. The fair is the most important in the sector in Latin America. The event takes place from June 26th to 28th in Holambra, in the interior of São Paulo.

Basf indicates a new ally in the control of pests such as moths and caterpillars in tomato, potato, and other vegetable and fruit crops. The insecticide verismo It is a novelty for application in horticultural products. With a different mode of action, it acts to control the main pests of recommended crops.

"The verismo arrived strong on the HF market, with high effectiveness against pests such as threadworm, tomato moth and cabbage leafworm. The insecticide is authorized for use on 25 crops, including fruits and vegetables. This solution is a great option for resistance management and control of important pests”, says Rodrigo Pifano, Marketing Manager for HF Crops & Citrus at Basf.

For disease control and management, Basf recommends the use of Convertible Top. The fungicide, the result of a mixture of two active ingredients, is important for managing disease resistance, and is efficient in controlling mildew, powdery mildew, early blight, anthracnose, among others in the main fruit and vegetable crops. The solution also offers the benefit of the AgCelence, positive physiological effects on the photosynthetic activity of plants, which provide more quality, productivity and profitability to fruit and vegetable producers. The technology AgCelence is Basf's global brand related to the positive physiological effect results from the application of F500-based fungicides.

"BASFasfeira is efficient and correct. The results should be more productive and profitable crops”, concludes Pifano.
