​FMC supports the socio-environmental project of Usina Açucareira Furlan S/A

The meeting brought together more than 50 people and featured presentations about the Plant and its environmental projects

The project “On the green trail, walking towards knowledge” was carried out at the beginning of the month at the Furlan Group headquarters, in Santa Bárbara d'Oeste-SP, with the aim of presenting the environmental work carried out by Usina Açucareira Furlan S/A. The meeting brought together more than 50 people and included presentations about the Plant and its environmental projects, in addition to the programs carried out by the Environmental Protection Group formed by members of the Municipal Guard and a visit to the Comanche Valley, an APP (Permanent Preservation Area). “The union of efforts and special attention to environmental issues is a very important contribution from companies to the entire population, which results in multipliers of good actions” points out the project coordinator, Jerry Willians de Morais.

The event was held by Usina Açucareira Furlan S/A with support from FMC Agricultural Solutions, Coplacana, Secretariat of the Environment and Environmental Protection Group. FMC's Cane Sales Manager, Redson Vieira, highlights the importance of the project. “FMC believes that the best way to benefit communities is through the dissemination of information and the young people who participated in the project learned about caring for the environment. In this way, the project contributes to the formation of more aware and responsible citizens”, he states.
