FMC, an agricultural science company, participates in the Phytus & Elevagro Experience Seminar, between June 30th and July 2nd. Due to the developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the event takes place online on Elevagro's digital platforms.

On this occasion, the Company highlights the Soy Project, an initiative that aims to encourage and promote debates about the challenges and advances for culture in the country. With the motto “It's more productive when we do it together”, the action aims to bring together all links in the chain - producers, distributors, consultants, researchers and industry -, providing relevant information and increasingly understanding the demand of this segment, to continue investing in innovative and sustainable solutions that bring value to rural producers.

One of the highlights of the Project is the support Talking about Soy, a digital rural extension action, which brings together consultants and researchers, who, through technical videos on management and good practices in soybean cultivation, seek to provide information to farmers in all regions of the country.

FMC's Market Development Manager, Jedir Fiorelli, highlights the importance of the online event to bring the field closer to these actions. “We are experiencing an atypical moment, where contact is primarily digital. Therefore, we congratulate the Seminar initiative and are proud to participate as a sponsor of the event. We, at FMC, seek continuous innovation and want to take advantage of the opportunity to understand the needs of producers and deliver complete, quality solutions for increasingly sustainable and profitable production.”

Technologies

To assist producers in the management of soybeans and corn, FMC has the insecticide Premio, which works to protect Bt Soybeans, protecting the flowering period from attack by caterpillars. In corn cultivation, through its systemic effect, it protects the new leaves that are common in the initial phase of the crop. The herbicide Stone, a selective pre-emergent with an excellent control spectrum, has two essential mechanisms of action for combating resistant weeds that are difficult to control.

Another highlight is the Domain Bug Program, which provides producers with flexibility in management, resulting in high performance, allowing them to select the right product for the right time. Hero, is indicated for immediate control of adults, with a quick shock effect, controlling the pest by walking and contact. Talisman, protects the crop with residuality throughout the stink bug cycle, with its action on eggs, nymphs and adults.

FMC has a complete portfolio for pest control, with emphasis on biological nematicides Presence, a company technology for managing nematodes; and bionematicide Quartz, a biological product with high effectiveness in controlling nematodes.
