FMC is present at the 7th National Congress of Agribusiness Women

The company has had women in leadership positions for over 30 years and works hard to increase female participation globally

Between the 26th and 27th of October, the FMC, an agricultural science company, participates in the National Congress of Women in Agribusiness 2022 - CNMA, which will be held in São Paulo (SP), where presents the company's actions aimed at promoting equity and diversity of genders and programs aimed at promoting an inclusive environment.

“FMC has women in leadership positions in Brazil for over 30 years. We have a role to play in creating greater equity in our workplace, in communities where we operate and in society in general. Today we are 37% of women in leadership positions and the FMC aims to increase representation of women women in the workforce by 50% globally by 2027. Given this, the company allocates investments to implement policies and practices aimed at improving recruitment, hiring, development and retention of talent with a focus on diversity and inclusion”, highlights Maria Lúcia Murinelli, director of human resources LATAM at FMC.

In Brazil, among the FMC initiatives that stand out are: the Internship, which in 2023 will be focused on Diversity and Inclusion in Agronomy, ensuring greater diversity in the process; “They in Industry”, a training project developed with the city council of Uberaba (MG), which aims to include women in the manufacturing environment through qualification, equal opportunities and the valorization of the workforce female work; and the “Strength of Woman” and “Força da Mulher no Campo”, a special web series dedicated to show inspiring stories of women who transform the field and show the potential of female strength.

During the event, Maria Lúcia, who has been in a leadership position since the 90s At the company, she participates in the round table: “Management and succession in production chains”, where she will share experiences and lessons that she has accumulated throughout her career, the debate will be held on the first day, October 26th, at 14:20 pm.

On the same occasion, in parallel to the event of the women, there will be YAMI - Youth Agribusiness Movement International - free translation - Meeting International Agribusiness Youth Movement, where the new generation of agro will debate topics involving the concepts of entrepreneurship and cooperatives, such as: employment, cooperation, productive inclusion and start-ups.
