Field research evaluates coffee crops in the state of Goiás

The effects of climatic conditions in some regions of the state, impacts on the physiology and development of plants will be evaluated

With the aim of helping to compose the 3rd Survey of the 2021 Coffee Harvest, technicians from the National Supply Company (Conab) in the state of Goiás carry out field research over the next two weeks (08 to 14 and 16 to 21 August) .

The visits cover producing properties in the vicinity of the municipalities of Trindade, Anicuns, Teresopólis, Gameleira de Goiás, Hidrolândia, Piracanjuba, Caldas Novas, Paraúna, Rio Verde, Montividiu, Mineiros, Catalão, Ouvidor, Campo Alegre de Goiás, Ipameri, Brasília, Planaltina , Água Fria de Goiás, São João D'Aliança, Luziânia and Cristalina.

During the work, among other aspects, the effects of the occurrence of low temperatures and frosts in some regions of the state, their impacts on the physiology and development of plants in coffee plantations in formation, as well as possible reductions in estimated productivity in coffee plantations in production that undergo harvest completion.

The consolidated data will be presented together with information from the other producing states, on September 21st, in a bulletin published on the Conab website and in a presentation on the Company's YouTube channel.
