With a nucleus focused on innovations and research in agribusiness, the FIA Business School participates in the 7th National Congress of Women in Agriculture, the largest women's event in the sector in Latin America, which will take place on October 26th and 27th at the Transamérica Expo Center, with the theme "Coordination of production chains in agribusiness, the decisive decade".

The panel "Women leaders in agriculture with Alma", will address the transformation of women through the Agribusiness Women's Leadership Academy – ALMA, a Corteva initiative in partnership with ABAG and the FIA Business School. The guests to debate the topic are: Camila Mourad, professor at Pensa/FIA Business School, Gislaine Balbinot, executive director of ABAG and Rosemeire dos Santos, Government Relations manager at Corteva.

The panel will present testimonies from participants and based on them, the program's axes will be discussed, namely: Management and Innovation, Protagonism and Leadership, Sustainability and ESG, as well as Family Succession.

As part of the program's activities was the development of group engagement projects under the guidance of FIA Business School professors. In total, 14 projects have already been implemented and will continue after the end of this edition of the program. The motivation for the projects was the search for solutions to problems experienced in day-to-day production activities, which, in addition to presenting practical results, are an exercise for leadership. Among the projects developed, for example, Agro Real will be mentioned, which aims to bring the countryside closer to the city through information on real aspects of rural production.

The objective of the Agribusiness Women's Leadership Academy is to provide knowledge, generate value for participants, as well as support and motivate the development of female leaders in agribusiness. Today, women in agribusiness represent 19% of properties, although this is still a low percentage, there was a 35% growth between the 2006 and 2017 agricultural census.

FIA Business School, through PENSA – Agribusiness Knowledge Center, actively operates in this market with courses, research, studies, cases and consultancy. Currently, agribusiness GDP (which involves not only rural production, but also the input, agroindustry and distribution sector) represents 25,5% of Brazilian GDP.
