The planting of the second corn crop is already planned and very close to starting in some locations, as it is scheduled to occur in the first quarter of 2023. Rural producers have increasingly sought solutions that increase soil fertility , can increase the productivity of their crops, contribute to the availability of food on the market, obtain increases in profitability and sustainability.

Mosaic Fertilizers, one of the largest companies producing and selling combined phosphate and potassium, developed a solution based on these needs, MicroEssentials, with an exclusive formulation.

The product's differential is the presence of Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Sulfur in a single granule, the latter being in Sulfate and Elemental forms, which guarantee plant nutrition throughout the corn cycle. It is a fundamental nutrient that acts in the chain of proteins and amino acids, essential for the growth, development and filling of corn grains; which increases productivity and profitability for the producer

“Farmers are really looking for technologies that provide returns. If the investment is in performance fertilizers, the results can be even better compared to conventional inputs. Our research in 165 demonstration fields showed that areas fertilized with MicroEssentials had an average increase of seven bags per hectare in off-season corn, in fields distributed in the main states where the crop is planted”, says Maria Luisa Aguiar (in the photo), Performance Product Manager from Mosaic Fertilizers.

The availability of nutrients right at the beginning of the crop is fundamental for corn, as this is when the productive potential is defined. “Therefore, investment in quality and technology at this stage will be essential for the development of the crop. The choice of fertilizer and appropriate management guarantee larger seeds, grain filling and generate increases in productivity and income”, says Maria Luisa.

Nitrogen and Phosphorus also make up the MicroEssentials formula. The first is essential in the production of chlorophyll and is distributed throughout the plant's entire cycle, ensuring healthier green leaves and plants that are more tolerant to environmental stress. Phosphorus is responsible for root development, dry matter accumulation and grain quality.
