Rural producers have reasons to remain optimistic about the possible results of the harvest in 2020. Recently, the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) increased the estimate for the Brazilian harvest this year by 0,8%, which means a volume of 247 million tons of products, mainly soybeans and corn. If the projection is confirmed, the harvest will increase by 2,3% compared to 2019.

With Brazil playing a leading role as a producer and distributor of food in the world, farmers have access to a wide range of high-performance agricultural equipment and solutions, which are capable of providing increased productivity in the field. For a year in Brazil, the German brand Fendt has had the Fendt IDEAL harvester in its portfolio.

There are three models available: Fendt IDEAL 7 (458 hp), Fendt IDEAL 8 (545 hp) and Fendt IDEAL 9 (656 hp). The Fendt IDEAL project is based on studies on the farmer's real needs and is a crucial part of the brand's first global project in 30 years, developed from scratch, with the participation of a Brazilian team from AGCO.

Discover the details of the machine that will directly influence crop productivity and harvest quality:

Transmission and power

Version 7 of the Fendt IDEAL has an AGCO Power engine, while versions 8 and 9 are equipped with MAN engines, and work with the dual-rotor trail unit (Dual Helix). In all three models, the processor requires much less energy and significantly increases the efficiency of the machine and the quality of straw and grains. The Fendt MotionShift gearbox offers two speeds with ranges from 0 to 15 km/h, or 0 to 40 km/h.

Real Time

The Fendt IDEAL has the IDEALharvest feature, an automated system, accessed via iPad, which is adjusted by sensors and cameras installed inside the harvester. IDEALharvest adjusts key settings to adapt to the operator's harvesting strategy and provide optimal performance based on the farm's needs. IDEALharvest also offers real-time access to data, enabling the operator to know what is happening on their machine. IDEALharvest helps rural producers obtain grains with the best cleanliness and quality possible, minimizing losses.

Be careful with the grain

Fendt IDEAL has the Streamer 210 grain handling system, with up to 220 bags and unloading in 82 seconds. This ensures 5% to 15% in efficiency gains for equipment performance. The harvester's rotors also stand out on the market: both the Single Propeller (IDEAL 7) and the Double Propeller (IDEAL 8 and 9) achieve better threshing quality, with smooth handling and low fuel consumption. The height of each rotor tooth is 140 mm. This enables intensive threshing without damaging the product and guarantees high straw quality and better threshing at low power.

Waste Management

The six individual sections and high dividers and long sieves provide a cleaning difference in the Fendt IDEAL. The shorter straw and bran are separated from the grain in the first cascade, delivering a more prepared material to the sieves.

Operator well-being

The Fendt VisionCab cabin was designed with an area of 5,75 m² and a 180° panoramic view gives a better view of the accessory. The low noise level of just 73 db creates a pleasant working environment. At Fendt IDEAL, you can choose between two seat models: the standard fabric seat or the deluxe leather seat, with active ventilation. There is also a 28,5-liter refrigeration compartment beneath it and a backrest to reach two bottle holders and a document holder.
