The Brazilian grain market brings sumptuous numbers. The volume forecast for the 20/21 harvest, ending this month, is 252 million tons, according to data from the National Supply Company (Conab). For the 21/22 cycle, the estimate is that Brazil will reach 289,6 million tons. Furthermore, a study carried out by the Ministry of Agriculture, Embrapa and the University of Brasília (UnB), shows that grain production will grow 27% in ten years, exceeding 333,1 million tons.

Given this scenario, the use of intelligent and innovative machines becomes essential to meet a production pace that delivers high productivity and operational performance. “Brazil is an agricultural power not only when we consider its productive area, but also in the adoption of new technologies”, says José Henrique Galli, director of Fendt in South America. “We are the main country in the world capable of growing agricultural agriculture. sustainable way.”

To celebrate the start of the 21/22 harvest, Fendt, AGCO's leading high-technology brand, promoted the event “The Fendt Planting Show”. Presented by actress Cris Vianna, the event brought details of the so-called “perfect combo”: the Fendt Vario 1050 tractor and the Fendt Momentum planter.

perfect combo

During “The Fendt Planting Show”, the brand described in detail the main features of the Fendt 1050 models, the Series 1000 Vario tractor, a unique concept in tractors above 500 hp, and the Fendt Momentum planter, the largest and most intelligent in the world. market with fertilizer distribution on the line, designed and entirely produced nationally.

Fendt 1000 Vario tractors are one of the options that combine intelligence and better investment for the most varied operations. The machines have a Fendt Vario Drive (CVT) transmission, which allows operation to always be carried out at the ideal speed, without shifting gears. Furthermore, it independently drives the front and rear axles, without operator intervention. In practice, with this technology, torque and power are distributed electronically to the axle that is pulling.

One of the Fendt 1050's differences is its engine-independent ventilation system. In addition to having a variable rotation that adjusts according to the ambient temperature, the system also works in reverse mode, cleaning the entire front grille, reducing cleaning stops. The tractor also has a standard hydraulic lift for attaching the Fendt Momentum planter.

Fendt Momentum allows farmers greater productivity due to its technology, including the Fendt Smart Frame, a system that self-levels the row supports. This system allows all rows to be in contact with the ground, regardless of the terrain condition. . In conjunction with the Smart Frame, DeltaForce works - Fendt is the only one on the market with this system installed at the factory - which applies the correct pressure in each of the lines, eliminating uncovered seeds and ensuring emergency uniformity, exploiting the full productive potential of each seed.

The implement also features V-drive, an electrical system that eliminates chains, ratchets and crowns and guarantees high precision when applying to the desired population. And there is also the 20|20 SeedSense monitor, showing, in real time, everything that happens during planting, row by row. With instant information, the producer corrects problems as soon as they occur, ensuring perfect planting.

“The grain harvest is just beginning and Brazil should break records once again”, projects Galli. “The way the Brazilian farmer welcomed us is an incentive for us to evolve even further, adapting the equipment to our production reality and strengthening our technical assistance and sales team. Fendt will be at the producer’s side to bring the highest quality and efficiency.”

digital products

Market leader in Germany and established in the European market, Fendt is characterized by the precision of German engineering and carries innovation and technology in its DNA. Of the 93 million euros that the brand has invested in R&D between 2020 and 2021, 22 million euros are allocated to the development of digital products.

Present in Brazil since 2019, the brand is already in the Cerrado, expanding in states such as Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás and Maranhão. Soon, it will have operations in Bahia, Pará and Tocantins, with plans to expand to other regions of the country such as the southeast. “Producers were eager for the brand to arrive in the country, which is why our growth has been very accelerated. Brazil was the gateway for Fendt to Latin America”, highlights Galli.
