Announced in May, during Agrishow 2019, the Fendt Division in Brazil was inaugurated this Wednesday, September 4th, in Sorriso, Mato Grosso. From now on, farmers can learn about the entire structure offered by the brand, which for almost nine decades has worked on developing new technologies for agriculture. Present at the inauguration were the mayor of Sorriso, Ari Lafin, the global COO of AGCO, Eric Hansotia, the Vice President of AGCO for the Americas, Robert Crain, and the president of AGCO South America, Luis Felli, as well as other directors of the company and authorities in the region.

One of the main pillars of AGCO's growth plan – owner of the Fendt brand –, the opening of the Fendt Division is a milestone in the company's history. The new structure is prepared to receive all customers in the region with services such as maintenance and product sales.

From Sorriso, Fendt will begin expanding throughout the national territory, through the development of its 100% Brazilian dealership network, which will focus not only on the sale of equipment, but also on service and parts availability.

“Professional agriculture has demanded increasingly technological machines and, because of this, it is essential to offer exceptional support to rural producers. Providing not only high-level machines, but also a service of the highest standard are hallmarks of Fendt, and this is translated into our operations and services center”, says José Galli, Fendt director for South America. “From now on , Brazilian agriculture has Fendt experience at its disposal from end to end”, he adds.

Luís Felli, president of AGCO for South America, highlights the importance of precision technologies that favor increased productivity at a key moment for Brazilian agriculture: “We are convinced that the level of service offered by the Fendt Division will help to further boost the production and profitability of our rural producers and, consequently, the development of our country”.

It is worth noting that the Fendt Division, in Sorriso, will not be responsible for manufacturing the brand's products present on the Brazilian market. The Fendt 1000 Vario series of high-power tractors, for example, is imported from Germany, while the cutting-edge Fendt IDEAL harvester and the Fendt MOMENTUM folding in-line fertilizer planter are being produced, respectively, at the Santa Rosa industrial plants. and Ibirubá, both in the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

Fendt brought three product lines to Brazil: the Fendt 1000 Vario series of tractors, the Fendt IDEAL harvester line and the Fendt MOMENTUM articulating planter. Working together, they offer a complete solution for rural producers’ agricultural life cycle – from planting to harvesting.

A série Fendt 1000 Vario It has a Fendt iD low engine speed concept, a feature that provides low fuel consumption and longer engine component life. The tractor is also designed with the Fendt VarioDrive transmission. This transmission, developed by Fendt engineers, distributes power to the front and rear axle independently. An intelligent clutch in four-wheel drive distributes power on demand between the two axles. The benefits of this technology are obtained through infinite speed adjustment and the best transfer of available power, making the Fendt 1000 Vario series ideal for a wide variety of operations, such as soil preparation, planting or grain and sugarcane transshipment operations. -sugar.

Among the harvester’s differences Fendt IDEAL, there is the IDEALharvest resource, an automated system, accessed via iPad, which is adjusted by sensors and cameras installed inside the harvester. IDEALharvest adjusts key settings to adapt to the operator's harvesting strategy and provide optimal performance based on the farm's needs. IDEALharvest also offers real-time access to data, thus enabling the operator to know what is happening on his machine. IDEALharvest helps rural producers obtain grains with the best cleanliness and quality possible, minimizing losses.

The planter Fendt MOMENTUM has fertilizer distribution in each line. Developed and produced 100% in Brazil, the Fendt MOMENTUM planter was officially launched in Brazil during Agrishow 2019. In addition to the complete Precision Planting technology offering, the Fendt MOMENTUM also features the Smart Frame with DeltaForce from Precision Planting. This technology allows each row to be in constant and uniform contact with the soil, regardless of speed or variations in the terrain, allowing for more uniform planting and germination.
