The Fendt 620 Vario tractor achieved the best results in terms of performance, efficiency and fuel consumption in the independent German Agricultural Society (DLG) PowerMix test. The model outperformed all competitors in the power range from 165 to 240 hp, with the lowest diesel consumption ever recorded by the institution: 245 g/kWh (+29,3 g/kWh AdBlue). The average was 11 g/kWh below the previous record.

According to the DLG Test Center, the 50-cylinder AGCO Power CORE4 engine delivers 205 hp at PTO and maximum torque of 885 Nm at just 1.200 rpm.

With a specific consumption of 245 g/kWh of diesel (+29,3 g/kWh of AdBlue), the 620 Vario achieved the lowest consumption ever measured by DLG in the power range between 165 and 240 hp.

The brand surpassed the old record by 11 g/kWh and was well below the average of the models tested.

In practice, the tractor showed savings of 10% to 15% in mixed tasks and partial load ranges. Specific consumption at nominal speed fell to 229 g/kWh (+23,8 g/kWh of AdBlue), a value close to the record for the 728 Vario line. At maximum speed, the figure was 221 g/kWh (+25 g/kWh).

In road transport, the Fendt 620 Vario also broke records. At 40 km/h, it consumed 309 g/kWh of diesel (+34,9 g/kWh of AdBlue), 40 g/kWh below the previous best. At 50 km/h, specific consumption was 311 g/kWh (+35,8 g/kWh), with the engine running at just 1.350 rpm.

“The Fendt 620 Vario sets a new benchmark for efficiency. It consumes less, costs less for the producer and also promotes sustainability,” said Roland Schmidt, Vice President Marketing at Fendt.

The PowerMix Test 2.0, conducted by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), simulates 14 real-world scenarios with different power demands in the field and on the road.
