Fenasucro & Agrocana anticipates trends and holds the Agribusiness Summit on June 07th and 08th, with four digital panels transmitted through the TRENDS 2.0 platform to generate content for the fair. The panels are dedicated to professionals and companies in the bioenergy sector, who can register on the platform to access exclusive content and services for free.
In total there will be four panels, which will debate current and relevant topics such as the Brazilian energy matrix and food production; consumption habits that can affect agribusiness; and also how the ESG agenda should influence consumer choices.
One of the guests is USP Physics professor, Paulo Artaxo, who assesses the need to review habits and priorities, since everything is interconnected. “Apparently it is unsustainable to maintain the planet with the same consumption pattern that we currently have”, he says.
In this context, the responsibility of Brazilian agribusiness is great. But where to start? For Unicamp professor Gonçalo Pereira, the hotter the planet, the more impacts on the atmosphere. And the ESG agenda, which focuses on pillars such as Environmental, Social and Governance, has to be a priority. “We have to be able to plan and think about governance. Governments pass, the State stays”, emphasizes Pereira.
The topics discussed by the two speakers will be broadcast at the Agribusiness Summit and mediated by the director of Fenasucro & Agrocana, Paulo Montabone, who will also talk to other personalities to debate the future of agriculture in the country.
On Tuesday, June 07th, at 10am, Marcos Landell (IAC) and Rafael Zavala (FAO) comment on the impact of decarbonization on food security in Brazil.
On the same day, at 16pm, Antônio de Pádua Rodrigues (UNICA) and Francis Queen (Raízen) evaluate how the Brazilian energy matrix interferes with agricultural production.
On Wednesday, June 08th, the agenda begins with a debate at 10am between Antônio Eduardo Tonielo (Copercana) and Luís Roberto Pogetti (Copersucar), drawing a parallel between consumption habits and sustainability in agribusiness.
And finally, at 16pm, the panel features Gonçalo Pereira (Unicamp), Paulo Artaxo (USP) and Almir Torcato (Canaoeste) commenting on future consumption linked to the ESG agenda.
