In its 24th edition, Femagri - Agricultural Machinery, Implements and Inputs Fair, organized by Cooxupé, will take place from March 19 to 21, in Guaxupé, in the South of Minas Gerais, from 8 am to 18 pm. The business event has the theme “Agriculture and Climate Change: Resilience and Opportunities” and presents new technologies for cooperative members to apply in their crops. The official opening will take place on the 19th, at 10 am.
In total, the fair will bring together more than 120 exhibitors, who will present the latest innovations in the market, as well as technologies, information and business opportunities to associated coffee growers and other producers in the region. The event is expected to receive more than 35 thousand cooperative members and visitors. The space has an area of 107 thousand square meters, with more than 37 thousand square meters covered, with 153 stands and more than 12 thousand products registered and on display.
Femagri will support cooperative members who are looking for solutions to boost their coffee productivity in light of the challenges and climate impacts of recent years. In addition, the fair provides producers with more knowledge to promote good agricultural practices on their properties, as well as cultural practices for coffee and grains.
According to the president of Cooxupé, Carlos Augusto Rodrigues de Melo, the event is an excellent opportunity for members due to the great structure provided, in addition to the negotiations facilitated with the support of the Business Center.
“Femagri offers cooperative producers the conditions to access new developments and solutions through information and equipment to implement technologies in their crops, seeking efficient management and improvements in the quality of the coffee produced. In addition, we address current and future issues with the purpose of focusing on sustainable agriculture,” says Melo.
The event will also feature several new features, such as the latest trends in technology, innovations for the field and inputs, as well as booths from Cooxupé. The “New Cultures Space” will present guidance on the grain market recently entered by the cooperative in partnership with Agrobom. There will also be the traditional Fazendinha, a space dedicated to demonstrating technologies and good agricultural practices.
During Femagri, the cooperative member finds lines of credit with financial institutions and can negotiate through the “Barter Operation”, with payment using coffee.
Admission to the event is free and open to families who are members of Cooxupé and to rural producers in the region. Registration will be held at the reception of the fair. The address is: Avenida Vereador Nelson Elias, S/N, in the Japy neighborhood.
