Senate approves US$195 million for investments in agricultural defense
Minister Tereza Cristina, who celebrated the news, announced the measure to the National Council of State Secretaries of Agriculture
Two Direct Doctoral Scholarships from FAPESP are offered within the scope of the Thematic Project “Fruit-refinery: obtaining processes, characterization methods and generation of products from fruit growing waste”. Registration must be made by November 7, 2019.
The project is coordinated by the teacher Nelson Ramos Stradiotto and conducted at the Bioenergy Research Institute of the São Paulo State University (Unesp), in Rio Claro.
The first vacancy is to participate in the subproject “Obtaining hydrogen and methane biogas and other value-added co-products from organic waste from industrial fruit processing”. The second grant is linked to the subproject “Development of methods for chemical and physical-chemical characterization of lignocellulosic biomass from fruit waste”.
Candidates must have or be completing a degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, microbiology, chemistry or related areas. Previous development of research in the area in scientific initiations or internships is desirable.
