Fapesp offers postdoctoral scholarship in plant electrophysiology at USP

The Thematic Project “Bee-agriculture interactions: perspectives for sustainable use” offers a postdoctoral opportunity with a FAPESP scholarship. The registration deadline ends on May 8, 2020.

The activities will be carried out in the Laboratory for the Study of Plants under Stress at the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (Esalq-USP).

The selected candidate will carry out experiments to record and compare the pattern of electrical signals generated, through extracellular and intracellular methods, in tomato plants during the reproductive stage in the presence or absence of pollinators. The fellow will also evaluate the interaction between tomato plants and different native species of bees after exposure to sublethal doses of insecticides.
