Fapesp offers postdoctoral scholarship in molecular biology and phylogeny at Unesp

The Thematic Project “Genetic and molecular basis of chlorophyll retention in seeds: a step forward to improve soybean adaptability to climate change” has a postdoctoral opportunity with a scholarship from FAPESP. The registration deadline ends on September 9, 2020.

The project is conducted in the Seed Laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (FCA-Unesp), on the Botucatu campus.

The postdoctoral fellow will perform experiments to compare the phylogenetic pattern of soybean genotypes using phenotyping data, in addition to obtaining genotyping information through genetic sequencing. It will also evaluate the main regulators of chlorophyll degradation in soybean seeds, in order to identify potential molecular markers for improving the species.
