The project "Increasing diversity to overcome the evolution of resistance” offers a FAPESP Postdoctoral Fellowship. Registration can be made until November 15, 2019.
The project in the area of microbial pest control will be conducted at the Department of Plant Health at Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), in Jaboticabal, in cooperation with the UK Biotechnology and Biosciences Research Council and joint funding from FAPESP and the Newton Fund.
The research proposes a new approach to pest management, aiming to increase the sustainability of agricultural production. The study investigates how multiple strains of entomopathogenic fungi can be used heterogeneously across agricultural landscapes so that selection for resistance varies spatially.
Candidates can register via email to the project coordinator, the professor Ricardo Antonio Polanczyk (r.polanczyk@unesp.br).
