Faesp releases 8th grain harvest survey in Brazil and São Paulo

Report covers detailed data on the evolution of estimates and includes information on main crops such as corn, soybeans, sorghum and wheat

The Federation of Agriculture and Livestock of the State of São Paulo (FAESP) made available the 8th survey of the grain harvest in Brazil and São Paulo. The report, prepared by FAESP's Economic Department based on information from the National Supply Company (Conab), presents updated data from May 2023.

According to the survey, the projection for the grain harvest in São Paulo was revised to 11,09 million tons, representing an increase of 9,22% in relation to the previous survey and a growth of 10,9% compared to the previous harvest (2021/22). The report also highlights that the area destined for grain production in this harvest is 2,6 million hectares, an increase of 2,9% compared to the last harvest. Furthermore, the expected average productivity is 4.240 kg/ha, an increase of 7,8% compared to the previous cycle.
