EY, a consulting and auditing company, announces the launch of the Executivas do Agro program, unprecedented in Brazil. The objective is to prepare and train women to take on leadership positions in agribusiness companies, supporting and promoting gender equality in the sector.
Executivas do Agro will last eight months, starting in March this year, and will feature the participation of women from different regions of Brazil, invited by EY. They are women who are preparing or are going to assume and act in directorship and presidency positions, on Boards of Directors or who are heirs to companies in the Agro sector. The selection was made based on their ability to take advantage of all the benefits of the program, including development objectives, proactivity, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit.
“We believe that women have a vital role to play in the growth and transformation of all markets, especially in agribusiness. Therefore, EY developed the Executivas do Agro no Brasil project, to promote female leadership, support and give visibility to shareholders, heirs or women who are interested in leadership positions in this sector”, explains Daniela Sampaio, partner of Transformation Consulting EY Business Unit for the Agribusiness sector.
The program will provide opportunities for participants to expand their knowledge in areas such as business management, leadership and relationships, making them prepared to take on leadership roles. The project also provides for meetings to be held so that those selected can meet and receive training from EY professionals, experienced in their areas of expertise.
Between March and October, the program will feature training on career planning, corporate governance, finance, asset succession, ESG and innovation. The training aims to expand access and knowledge about the most innovative technologies in agribusiness and increase opportunities for networking and exchanging experiences, through which those selected will be able to meet and connect with professionals, experts and leaders in the sector.
