Expointer is suspended due to the pandemic

Expointer 2020, which had been rescheduled to start on September 26th, was canceled by the organizing committee this Thursday afternoon (02). The government of Rio Grande do Sul must publish an official note with the decision. The uncertainty and uncertainty surrounding the progress of Covid-19 led the state government of Rio Grande do Sul to cancel the event. 

Less than a month ago, Expointer had a date scheduled for September 26th until October 04th. The scenario was established by hope for an improvement and progressive reduction in coronavirus cases in the State. 

Official note: 

"The entities co-promoting EXPOINTER2020 – FARSUL, OCERGS, SIMERS, FETAG, FEBRAC and the Municipality of Esteio, together with the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Rural Development - SEAPDR, hereby announce that, by common agreement, they have decided to due to the cancellation of the historic event open to the public at the Assis Brasil Exhibition Park in the city of Esteio-RS, due to the pandemic caused by COVID-19.

At the same time, it is noted that technical evidence from producer associations and animal judging activities will be considered as a priority, observing public health protocols and without the participation of the visiting public.

Finally, it should be noted that the decision now taken is based on criteria of compliance with health standards, while reaffirming the importance of the agricultural event for Rio Grande do Sul society."
