In the same wake as other important agricultural events, Expodireto Cotrijal and Expoagro Afubra were canceled in 2021. Both were scheduled to take place in March, in Rio Grande do Sul and ended up suspended by the organizers due to the worsening of Covid-19 cases in the state.
In an official note, the president of Cotrijal, Nei Mânica, announced the cancellation of this year's edition that would take place from March 1st to 5th, in a hybrid model (in-person and digital), in Não-Me-Toque, in Rio Grande do Sul. " The decision is made to preserve the health of exhibitors, employees and visitors. Even with the health protocol already approved by the State Government Committee, we opted for the greatest possible prudence. Cotrijal took into account the moment of uncertainty regarding the stage of pandemic", says the statement.
The same note brings the forecast for Expodireto to be held in 2022, for the period from March 7th to 11th.
Expoagro Afubra
On the same day, Afubra's board announced the cancellation of Expoagro, previously scheduled for the period from March 17th to 20th, in Rincão Del Rey, Rio Pardo, Rio Grande do Sul. "Until now, we were optimistic about holding the fair and working on security protocols required by governments. However, the high number of public always present at the event, which makes it impossible to schedule staggered visits, and, even though, with all the care and zeal that could - and should - be adopted, the The insecurity of being able to comply with and enforce all necessary procedures persists, and made us take this decision", says the official note.
