In the month of September, Expocacer - Cooperativa dos Cafeicultures do Cerrado surpassed the mark of 1 million bags of coffee received in its warehouses, even before the end of the harvest. This represents 77% of the entire harvest recorded in 2022. The expectation, according to the cooperative, is that the number will reach an even higher level.

“For us, this achievement represents much more than numbers. Each harvest is unique and brings with it inspiring narratives, tireless dedication and the strength of a community passionate about what it does”, says Simão Pedro de Lima, superintendent director of Expocacer.

The Cerrado Mineiro represents 10% to 15% of Brazilian coffee production and 30% of what is produced in the state of Minas Gerais. According to the superintendent director, the good results come in a remarkable period for the cooperative, which has just completed 30 years of activity. “Expocacer exports coffee to more than 30 countries on five continents, and expects to ship more than 600 thousand bags by the end of the harvest”, he concludes.
