Expoarroz is holding its 6th edition, which will take place from May 14th to 16th. The event, aimed exclusively at the rice farming sector, will be held in Pelotas (RS) and will promote the meeting of agricultural producers, seed producers, processors, input suppliers, machinery and equipment manufacturers, service providers, among others, with the aim of exchange knowledge and promote transactions.
Expoarroz will also focus on presenting new technologies available for this market. Among the confirmed exhibitors is Grupo Soma Sul, which will display Markem Imaje's product line, such as the Smart Date X30 heat transfer printer, designed for packaging identification.
“This printer aims to make packaging production an easier and more dynamic task. Its configuration is automatic and its size is quite compact. Not to mention that it reduces costs, as its print remains for many years”, reveals Gilberto Inácio Dick, operational director at Soma Sul.
Another novelty that awaits visitors are the products of the group's recently created company, SomaFlux, which will bring to the fair Gardner Denver air compressors, which act as air supply in industrial units.
The event also organizes a Business Roundtable, where exhibiting companies will be able to negotiate directly with rice importers from around the world and increase their networking, as foreign buyers will be invited to visit the companies' stand. Soma Sul is one of those that will be present in this activity, seeking to export its solutions to international resellers. “We will participate in the Business Roundtable with a focus on selling printers that help mark packaging and label applicators, for example, elements necessary for products to reach supermarket shelves”, reveals Gilberto Dick.
“We hope there will be a large number of visitors at Expoarroz 2019, given the growth of the industry and the sector, with the improvement of the Brazilian political and economic scenario”, concludes Gilberto. Organized biennially, in 2017 the fair welcomed more than 14 thousand people and generated R$81 million in business.
