The Covid pandemic and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine have had consequences for global markets, with disruptions in supply chains and significant increases in product prices, which put pressure on inflation in countries, causing economic crises, insecurity regarding issues energy and food. This instability also makes it difficult for governments to make decisions with convergent interests.

Given this scenario, the 21st Brazilian Agribusiness Congress, an initiative of ABAG - Brazilian Agribusiness Association and B3, Brazil's stock exchange, will feature the participation of experts to bring a global vision of the topic of Geopolitics, Food Security and Interests, pointing out possible scenarios and paths for Brazil to pursue its purpose of supporting food and energy security, marking its green DNA in the new global structure.

Participating in the first panel of the Congress are ambassador Alexandre Parola, permanent representative of Brazil to the WTO; Gedeão Pereira, vice-president of International Relations at the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock (CNA); and Jacyr Costa, president of the Superior Agribusiness Council (COSAG) of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP). Journalist William Waack will be moderated.

The 21st Brazilian Agribusiness Congress takes place on August 1st, in a hybrid format, and its central theme is Integrate to Strengthen. Registration to participate both in person and virtually is open. To complete your accreditation, simply access the official website.

In addition to Geopolitics, Food Security and Interests, the program will have three more panels: Agribusiness: Environment and Markets; Agribusiness: Technology and Information; and Agribusiness: Perspectives 2023/2026.
