The expansion of the national and international fruit market will be the main topic discussed at the 18st Irrigated Fruit Farming Seminar, an event that will take place in Barra, in western Bahia, on October 19 and XNUMX. Under the theme “Opportunities and Innovations in Bahian Soil,” the event’s program will feature panels on the development of cocoa farming in non-traditional areas, the challenges for grape and mango production, among others.

Marco Caviola (pictured), president of the Rural Producers Union of Barra (SindBarra), the organization organizing the seminar, emphasizes that the topics are important for discussing the promotion of productive activities in Barra and throughout the Agroindustrial and Bioenergy Hub of the Middle São Francisco. “We will have around 50 exhibitors, brands and companies that are committed to and believe in the growth and success of our 100% irrigated and technologically advanced production,” he says.

Among those confirmed to attend is the president of the Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivative Producers and Exporters (Abrafrutas), Guilherme Coelho, who will give the first lecture of the event, on the 18th, entitled “Expansion of the national and international fruit market”.
