Epagri and UFSM publish a book that points out ways to increase corn production in SC
SC seeks to increase corn production by increasing grain productivity in areas already used
Excalia Max (impirfluxam and tebuconazole) increased around two bags of soybeans per hectare in the 22/23 harvest, Sumitomo Chemical. The fungicide acts against four soybean diseases: Asian rust (Phakopsora pachyrhizi), the target spot (Corynespora cassiicola), leaf blight (Cercospora kikuchii) and brown spot (Septoria glycones).
This month, Excalia Max completed one year of commercialization for Brazilian crops. In the last harvest, there were more than 3 thousand demonstration fields with the fungicide in several producing regions in Brazil.
“Of these fields, we already have data on more than 60% of the areas harvested so far that show the increase in productivity compared to the traditional fungicides used today”, he explains. Rafael Pereira (pictured above), fungicide asset manager and soybean cultivation leader at Sumitomo Chemical.
Excalia Max is a systemic product. Contains Indiflin (impirfluxam), a molecule that the company brought to the market, with rapid absorption by the leaves. In addition to Indiflin, which is part of the carboxamide group, the fungicide has as its active ingredient tebuconazole, which belongs to the triazole group.
