The company DuPont Crop Protection held on the 13th, in the São Paulo municipality of Ribeirão Preto, the award event for the DuPont Colheita Farta program valid for the regions São Paulo – Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais -Northeast. The American company annually awards soybean farmers in these regions who obtain the best productivity rates based on the DuPont Soya Program pest and disease treatment method, applied from the pre-planting stage until the oilseed harvest.

The top three in the São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro region were soybean farmers Paulo Henrique Kievtsbosch, from the municipality of Holambra (SP), Maurício Liscio Lisauskas and José Carlos Fernandes, the last two from the city of Itapeva (SP).

The producers Antônio Carlos Pereira, from the city of Carmo do Rio Claro (MG), Adilson Antônio da Silva, from Serra do Salitre (MG) and Matheus de Souza Silva, from Patos de Minas (MG), won the competition in the Minas Gerais-Northeast region. ).

Paulo Henrique Kievtsbosch and Antônio Carlos Pereira were also selected to participate in the national stage of the DuPont productivity contest, which will take place next August, bringing together award-winning producers in other regions of the soybean agricultural frontier, such as Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul, among others.

According to DuPont, around 330 producers are registered to participate in this year's national edition of the DuPont Colheita Farta program. The contest regulations consider productivity indicators determined on the properties of registered farmers during the 2016/17 harvest, which recently ended.

DuPont Colheita Farta is an exclusive project of DuPont Brasil Crop Protection. The initiative's central objective is to disseminate management practices for resistance to agricultural pesticides involving a set of the company's technologies: the fungicide Aproach Prima, the insecticide for seed treatment Dermacor, the insecticides Avatar, Benevia, Lannate and Premio and the herbicide Classic.

“The inputs that make up the DuPont Soy Program are high technology and help producers achieve high productivity rates throughout the country. The insecticide Lannate is applied in the pre-planting stage. Dermacor seed treatment, recommended at the planting stage, while Classic herbicide is used to desiccate the crop. In the crop development phase, the program covers the insecticides Avatar, Benevia, Lannate and Premio, in addition to the fungicide Aproach Prima”, summarizes the marketing director of DuPont Brasil, Raphael Godinho.
