For this year's edition, the Technological Innovation Forum for Sustainable Agribusiness – Esalqshow 2019 will feature an exclusive program for entrepreneurs and startups that develop innovations for agribusiness. The “Consulting Clinic for Startups and Entrepreneurs”, which will be on the 10th and 11th of October, at the Esalq/USP Class Center, in Piracicaba (SP), will offer free individual consultancy sessions, with the aim of assisting in development of activities to materialize ideas into solutions and format business models.

According to Pedro Chamochumbi, innovation agent and coordinator of the initiative, the proposal is to disseminate agile innovation tools to entrepreneurs and startups at different stages, as well as reinforce the entrepreneurial training process of scientists and academics. “It will be an open mentoring desk, through which we will provide Esalqshow participants with the necessary information to identify opportunities and execute the inherent steps to transform ideas or scientific projects into potentially scalable businesses with global impact”, he emphasizes.

The Clinic will have the support of Sebrae-SP and AnimalsHub, which, in partnership, will offer until the month of September a training day for the extension groups that will provide mentoring services at ESALQSHOW. The first meeting took place on June 5th at the AnimalsHub headquarters, in Piracicaba.

“This year, as a novelty, the initiative will also provide strong integration between students, teachers and extension groups dedicated to innovation initiatives in agribusiness at Esalq/USP. It is an important movement that could catalyze future initiatives at the university, which is increasingly committed to strengthening the entrepreneurial culture of its community”, highlights the coordinator.

So that participants have access to dynamic and complementary guidance, the service desk will cover topics such as “Innovation Management” (ESALQInova), “Validation and MVP” (PetBiotecnologia), “Feasibility analysis for agribusiness” (Adeca), “ Sources of financing for innovation and business modeling” (EsalqJr), “Marketing” (Markesalq) and “Valuation and Investments” (Financial Market League FEA-USP).

The “Consulting Clinic for Startups and Entrepreneurs” will take place by prior appointment and will be held on October 10th and 11th, from 9am to 17pm.
