Project analyzes nutrient loss through erosion in sugarcane and soybean areas
Research conducted in Presidente Castelo Branco and Cianorte, in the Northwest region of Paraná, shows that terraces minimize losses
The Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture of the University of São Paulo (Esalq-USP) will hold the fourth edition of Esalqshow between Wednesday (05/10) and Friday (07/10), in Piracicaba.
This year's theme is the sugarcane production chain. The proposal is to connect representatives from academia, the productive sector and government. The program will include oral sessions and exhibition activities in amphitheaters, pavilions, outdoor living areas and also on the lawn in front of the Esalq Central Building, a space that has hosted technical exhibitions in past decades.
The activities will be divided into seven panels, with the following themes: “Public Policies in the Sugarcane Sector”, “Innovations for the integrated management of pests and diseases in sugarcane cultivation and production efficiency”, “Opportunities for optimization in sugarcane logistics in Brazil”, “The sugarcane industry: current state of the art, challenges and importance of new technologies”, “Information Technology in the Brazilian Sugarcane Sector”, “Trends in the sugarcane chain from a socioeconomic perspective” and “Carbon balance in the sugar-energy sector”.
