The Minas Gerais Agricultural Research Company (EPAMIG) will hold the 3rd Grain Production Technological Meeting. The event, in person and free, will take place on April 20th, from 8am to 12pm, at the EPAMIG Experimental Field in Lambari (MG). Registration will take place on the day and location of the event.

In total, the meeting will have five field stations. The first of them, led by EPAMIG researcher João Chrisostomo, will address animal nutrition and biofortification of soybeans for human consumption. Next, the EPAMIG researcher, Fábio Aurélio Martins, will deal with bean cultivars developed by the Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais itself, in addition to institutions such as Embrapa, UFLA and UFV.

The third station, by EPAMIG researcher Aurinelza Condé, will discuss winter wheat and cereals as options for composing production systems. The station by EPAMIG researcher Janine Guedes will address the cultivation of highland rice in Minas Gerais.

To close the cycle of field seasons, the representative of Brevant Sementes, Enio Gomes, will lead a conversation about off-season corn.

The meeting will also feature the participation of EPAMIG's “Ciência Móvel”, a vehicle designed to disseminate agricultural technologies. The company's researchers, Cláudio Egon and Hudson Teixeira, will be available to talk about seed and grain storage, as well as the problems arising from the use of grains as seeds.

To access the event location, participants must comply with Covid-19 prevention standards, such as social distancing, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette when coughing or sneezing.
