Forecast indicates thunderstorms and large volumes of rain in the South Region in the coming days
In some locations, rainfall can exceed 100 millimeters in 24 hours.
The Agricultural Research Company of Minas Gerais (Epamig) is promoting the Vine Diseases and Pests field day in Caldas next Friday, October 6th. The event, which will be held at the Company's Experimental Field, is open to the public and has as its main focus the producers assisted by the innovation project developed in the region.
The program, which takes place between 8am and 12pm, will feature lectures “Vine Diseases and Alternative Control”, given by professor at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA), Jorge Teodoro de Souza; and “Pragas da Videira”, which will be presented by Epamig postdoc fellow in Maria da Fé, Lucas Fagundes da Silva. In addition to two field stations: “Chemical Control of Pests and Diseases”, conducted by the agronomist and technical advisor at Epamig in Caldas, Francisco Mikael Câmara; and “Correct use and disposal of empty pesticide packaging”, led by the regional coordinator of the Minas Gerais Agricultural Institute (IMA), in Poços de Caldas, Wladimir Ferreira Fadini.
