Engineering Research Center opens eight technical training vacancies

Five level three (TT-3), one level two (TT-2) and two level one (TT-1) technical training places are available under the “Plant Health Engineering Research Center in Sugarcane" (CPE-FCA), which has support from FAPESP and the São Martinho Group and is based at the Faculty of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences of the Universidade Estadual Paulista (FCAV-Unesp), in Jaboticabal. Registration must be made by October 20, 2020.

The center develops basic and applied studies on sugarcane pest management. The results obtained and the technologies developed will be transferred to the sector. Furthermore, the CPE-FCA will be responsible for sharing study progress with the public and students at all levels.

Candidates for TT-3 vacancies must have completed higher education and have preferably completed a degree in agricultural engineering or biological sciences. Formal experience in research, involving scientific initiation activities, field and laboratory experiments, will be valued.

One of the TT-3 vacancies is to work at the Agronomic Institute at the Sugarcane Research Center (IAC), in Ribeirão Preto, and the others at Unesp in Jaboticabal.

The TT-2 vacancy is intended for students in the final year of their undergraduate degree in administration. Formal experience with scientific initiation activities will be valued, preferably in the areas of innovation and/or financial administration. The candidate must have intermediate to advanced knowledge with electronic spreadsheets, with international experience being valued.

For TT-1 opportunities, candidates must be pursuing a degree in agricultural engineering, agronomy or agricultural sciences. One of the vacancies is to work at IAC, in Ribeirão Preto, and another at Unesp in Jaboticabal.

The TT-1 Scholarship has a value of R$ 439,60 per month and is aimed at undergraduate students, without failures in their academic record and without an employment relationship, with dedication of 15 hours per week to activities supporting the research project, without there is a loss in their academic performance.

The TT-2 Scholarship has a value of R$ 878,00 per month and is aimed at students of secondary and higher-level technical courses, without failures in their academic record and without an employment relationship, to dedicate 16 to 40 hours per week (the value of the scholarship to be paid will be proportional to the number of hours per week) to activities supporting the research project.

The TT-3 Scholarship has a value of R$1.228,40 per month. It is aimed at higher education graduates, with no failures on their academic record and no employment relationship. Dedication must be 16 to 40 hours per week to activities supporting the research project. The TT-3 scholarship time will be deducted if the interested party takes advantage of a Master's or Direct Doctorate Scholarship.
