Wheat sowing in the southern region of the country is coming to an end and, for now, the favorable climate keeps agents consulted by Cepea optimistic about the production of this harvest. In this scenario, cereal values in the lot market (negotiations between companies) remain somewhat weakened in some markets.

In the field, despite the passage of the “bomb cyclone” at the end of June, the crops were not directly affected, as they were in the initial phase of development. As for derivatives, all flours and bran registered increases in value. Employees consulted by Cepea reinforce that sales of flour intended for fresh pasta and pasta in general remain strong.

However, with the instabilities of reopening non-essential commerce, some buyers are having difficulty purchasing raw materials, due to lower cash flow. In the case of bran, demand and prices remain firm.
