Embrapa Clima Temperado is present at a showcase on agroecology at the Show Rural Coopavel 2023

For another year, Embrapa Clima Temperado (Pelotas, RS) is present at the Show Rural Coopavel, in Cascavel/PR, to present technological solutions focused on agroecological food production. Participation will be in the Vitrine Tecnológica de Agroecologia Vilson Nilson Redel (VITAL), during the 35th edition of the event, from February 6 to 10, 2023.

This year, the colored-fleshed sweet potato cultivars BRS Anembé, BRS Cotinga and CIPBRS Nuti will be on display, suitable both for fresh consumption and for agro-industrialization and chip production. The biofortified varieties BRS Amélia and Beauregard, used to combat anemia and child malnutrition, will also be presented, in addition to the cultivars BRS Cuia and BRS Rubissol.

In the space, other technological solutions worked on by the Mixed Research and Technology Transfer Unit (UMIPTT) of Embrapa Clima Temperado, located in Francisco Beltrão/PR, will also be shown to the public, such as the yellow-fleshed table cassava varieties BRS 429 and BRS 399. Regarding animal production, the highlight is the BRS Kurumi dwarf elephant grass and BRS Capiaçu elephant grass pastures.
