One of the advantages of crop-livestock-forest integration systems (ILPF) is their versatility, being adaptable to any rural producer profile. Some of the technologies available for use in family farming will be presented this Friday, the 25th, in a field day at Vanda Resort, in the municipality of Paranaíta (MT).
The ILPF Experience Day with a focus on Family Farming at the Amazon Portal will be promoted by Embrapa, Senar-MT and partners. Registration is free and will take place from 8am at the event location.
Owned by Nivaldo and Vanda Michetti, Estância Vanda is a reference in the region for sustainable family production work using low-cost technologies, such as diversification of animal supplementation sources, pasture management, crop rotation, pasture shading, between others.
Focusing on small and medium-sized producers, technicians and extensionists and other professionals linked to the agricultural sector, the event will have its entire program in the morning.
After the opening, owner Nivaldo Michetti and his son and Imea analyst, Miqueias Michetti, will talk about low-cost supplementation as a way to maintain the herd during drought.
Afterwards, participants will be divided into three groups and will do a circuit passing through three field stations. One of them will continue the theme of the initial presentation, highlighting grass BRS Capiaçú. The material has great potential for biomass production and has attracted the attention of producers across the country. The technology will be presented by the Technology Transfer analyst at Embrapa Agrossilvopastoril Orlando Oliveira and by the producers from the Sombra da Mata site Marcely and Alison Oliveira.
In another season, the theme will be the forestry component at ILPF. Unemat professor Alexandre Olival and Embrapa Agrossilvopastoril forestry engineer Diego Antonio will talk about the lessons learned and challenges of using trees in pastures.
In the third station, Campo SA agronomist Murilo Guimarães will talk about forage budgeting and pasture management and the importance of microbiological soil analyzes in agricultural systems will be addressed by Renato Alves, from the Soils and Plants laboratory.
The ILPF Experience Day with a focus on Family Farming at Portal da Amazônia is sponsored by the Amazon Fund, CDL Alta Floresta and supported by Unemat, IFMT, Empaer, Paranaíta City Hall and City Council, Campo SA, Unipasto, Laboratório Solos e Plantas, Flora Sinop and Rede ILPF.
On the eve of the day of experience, Embrapa Agrossilvopastoril will promote, on the campus of the Federal Institute of Mato Grosso (IFMT) in Alta Floresta (MT), training for technicians and extensionists on the topic of crop-livestock-forest integration (ILPF).
The training is aimed at public and private professionals interested in the topic. Registration is free and can be done on the website www.embrapa.br/agrossilvipastoril.
The program will have theoretical activities throughout the day, starting at 8am and ending at 17:50pm, and will be complemented with practical activities on Friday, on Experience Day.
