This week, Embrapa Digital Agriculture participates in the 9th edition of Coplacampo, a fair promoted by the São Paulo State Sugarcane Planters Cooperative (Coplacana), which takes place from February 27th to March 2nd, in Piracicaba (SP). The event seeks to integrate cooperative members, rural producers and exhibitors in a space that functions as a showcase for business and technological innovations. Entry is free and registrations can be made via the Coplacampo website.

During the fair, results of projects developed by Embrapa Agricultura Digital in partnership with Coplacana will be presented. One of the highlights is the Brazilian Agro-Traceability System (Sibraar), the first traceability software registered in the national market, aimed at the sugarcane agroindustry, developed with blockchain technology and which offers the consumer information through a printed QR Code on product packaging. The technology was validated at the Usina Granelli agro-industrial plant, responsible for launching, last year, the first brown sugar equipped with the technology, now available on supermarket shelves.

Another highlight are the results obtained in experiments carried out in partnership with Coplacana with a phosphorus-solubilizing biological inoculant developed by Embrapa for sugarcane. The bioinput promotes an increase in the absorption of phosphorus by the plant, with significant gains in productivity and low environmental impact. The research is led by Embrapa Milho e Sorgo and is in partnership with the company Simbiose.

Research will also be presented at Coplacampo for the development of digital tools to assist in analyzing crop performance and diagnosing sugarcane productivity, based on images of the crop obtained by drones or satellites. The objective is to facilitate production expectation management and decision making. Another project will present results aimed at modeling sugarcane productivity using fertility parameters and soil physics associated with a system for fertilizer and liming recommendations.
