Traceability of Brazilian bananas gains strength in retail
With constant investment from the Leiria Group, fruit marketing becomes even more transparent for consumers
Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical provides grants, through the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPQ), to carry out specialized services in research activities for the development of a mobile application (APP). The objective of the APP is to assist in decision-making and construction of risk maps for diseases and pests of the dwarf cashew tree. The expected duration of the scholarships is 11 (eleven) months. The start will take place immediately after signing the contract. Two scholarships will be offered. The recipients will form a team to develop the application on the Android platform.
Interested parties must meet the following requirements and profile:
a) Higher education professional with at least 6 (six) years of effective experience in research, development or innovation activities in the area of Information Technology;
b) Higher education professional with at least 2 (two) years of effective experience in research, development or innovation activities in the area of Information Technology;
c) Experience in building applications using the Android platform. With knowledge of technologies for geoprocessing, image collection and use of the PostgreeSQL Database;
d) Knowledge of graphical presentation of data;
e) Good communication via virtual meetings;
f) Commitment to delivering reports, documentation and modules on the agreed dates;
g) Not have an employment relationship.
The contractor will be responsible for analyzing the application, together with the Embrapa team, and then developing the application on the Android platform, passing on the technologies used to the Embrapa team. The value of the remuneration offered is R$4.000,00 (monthly) for professionals with 6 (six) years of effective experience and R$3.000,00 (monthly) for professionals with 2 (two) years of effective experience, as per description in the item “profile and requirements”.
Applications will be accepted until 23:59 pm on May 31, 2021, and must be sent by email to cnpat.editalfito@embrapa.br with the name of the candidate and indicating in the “subject” field of the email the name of the project “Strategies for phytosanitary management of dwarf cashew trees for the main producing regions of the Brazilian Northeast”. The following must be attached to the email:
a) CV lattes containing email and telephone number;
b) motivation letter and report of experience with developing applications on the Android platform – maximum one page.
