Embrapa offers training on cashew farming for multiplier agents

Themes cover various links in the cashew production chain

Embrapa Agroindústria Tropical will provide a training cycle for technicians from the States of Ceará, Piauí, Pernambuco and Rio Grande do Norte. Classes will take place remotely, through a digital platform whose access will only be available to registered participants. The themes have priority audiences for each state. However, this does not prevent students from other states from participating as long as there are places available. Registration link available here.

The action is part of the project "Transfer of agro-industrial technologies from cashew farming projects". Trainings will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays in September and October, from 18pm to 19:30pm. Check the dates, themes, trainers and priority (but not exclusive) audiences:

21/09 (Tuesday). Cashew stalk processing, Fábio Paiva

Priority audience (non-exclusive): Technical assistance technicians and leading producers from the states of Pernambuco (Agreste Pernambucano), Rio Grande do Norte (Oeste Potiguar), Piauí (Southeast Piauiense) and Ceará (Litoral Cearense).

23/09 (Thursday). Good practices in the industrial use of cashew, Antonio Calixto

Priority audience (non-exclusive): Technical assistance technicians and leading producers in Agreste Pernambucano.

28/09 (Tuesday). Physiology and post-harvest technology of cashew peduncle and nut, Carlos Farley and Antônio Calixto

Priority audience (non-exclusive): Technical assistance technicians and leading producers in the states of Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Piauí.

30/09 (Thursday). Harvesting and cleaning pruning of the cashew tree, Carlos Farley and Antônio Teixeira Cavalcanti

Priority audience (non-exclusive): Technical assistance technicians and leading producers in the states of Pernambuco, Rio Grande do Norte and Piauí.

05/10 (Tuesday). Demonstration of mechanized management for cashew trees, Raimundo Nonato Martins
