Embrapa begins delivery of gemstones from BRS Magna and BRS Vitória to winegrowers on Monday

The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) begins on Monday, the 22nd, the delivery of buds from the BRS Magna and BRS Vitória grape cultivars to winegrowers who reserved the material at the beginning of the year via the Campinas Office of Embrapa Products and Market . Only producers who paid the bank slip sent to the registered email will be considered, informs analyst Daniel Grohs, one of the coordinators of the Embrapa production and transfer program for superior quality vine propagative material to the production sector.

The delivery method will be via mail or directly at Embrapa Uva e Vinho, in Bento Gonçalves (on Rua Livramento, number 515). Grohs points out that material sent via Sedex collect (with shipping paid upon collection at the Post Office) will deserve greater attention. “As soon as the producer has the acknowledgment of receipt in hand, at the address informed at the time of reservation, he must immediately collect the material from the indicated agency, due to the risk of loss of viability of the gems”, says the analyst. Only for winegrowers in municipalities in the Northeast region of Rio Grande do Sul is collection possible at Embrapa Uva e Vinho. Whoever opted for this, after confirmation by telephone contact already made, must go to the Greenhouses Sector of the research unit and speak to Sérgio Zarpelon or Grohs himself.

From Monday onwards, customers on the waiting list will also be served, depending on the availability of propagation material – in other words, there is no guarantee that everyone will receive material. Winegrowers included in this list must be careful to send the bank slip to the registered email, considering that a new deadline for payment will be generated.

Also from Monday, Beifiur Ltda nurseries. (Garibaldi/RS), Rasip Agropastoril Ltda. (Vacaria/RS), Vitácea Brasil (Caldas/MG) and Clone Viveiros (Araucária/PR), winners of a licensing notice launched by Embrapa, will be receiving buds for the formation of seedlings and bubbles, for commercialization in the coming years.
