Communication Mechanics turns 50

Emater-MG participated in the 28th Technical Meeting of the Seeds and Seedlings Commission in Minas Gerais, held in Belo Horizonte, on April 13th. The state technical assistance and rural extension company was represented by the technical coordinator of Fruit Production, agronomist Deny Sanábio.
The meeting was attended by around 70 participants, including federal agricultural tax auditors in the seed area, professors from federal universities (UFV, UFLA, UFU and UFVJM), inspectors from the Instituto Mineiro de Agropecuária (IMA), technical managers and other professionals from institutions public and private initiatives in the area.
One of the topics covered was Ordinance 538, of 2022, from the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply, which establishes standards for production, certification, technical responsibility, processing, repackaging, storage, sampling, analysis , the commercialization and use of seeds.
"The objective is to facilitate the administration of nurseries, by updating the standards that must be followed by those responsible for technology", informed Deny Sanábio. He is a full member of the Seeds and Seedlings Commission in Minas Gerais and his deputy is the technical coordinator of Crops at Emater-MG, Sérgio Brás Regina. "Producers must only use seeds and seedlings from establishments registered with Renasem (National Registry of Seeds and Seedlings), to guarantee the quality of the material and avoid losses in production", highlighted Sanábio.
