The fight against greening requires increased attention to controlling the psyllid in orchards. And one of the essential precautions to efficiently combat the spread of the disease is to properly rotate insecticides with different modes of action. When this does not occur, the risk of resistance increases, increasing losses and reducing the availability of products to control citrus pests.

And because there isn't a large, steady stream of new chemicals being developed, avoiding resistance is essential. Therefore, the recommendation is that insecticides with at least three different modes of action be interspersed in the rotation strategy – and if the citrus grower uses products containing a mixture of active ingredients, the next application must be with a product that has a different mode of action. of the others that make up the commercial mixture previously used.
