The consortium of researchers that regularly evaluates the effectiveness of fungicides in controlling Asian rust in soybeans (caused by Phakopsora pachyrhizi) completed the work related to the 2022/23 harvest.

One of the comparisons shows that the control percentage of registered fungicides ranged from 28 to 69%. These numbers can be seen in the image above, which only shows the names of the active ingredients.

It is important to highlight that these numbers should be considered one of the necessary elements to decide on management methods. Furthermore, scientists recommend rotating active ingredients to minimize the development of fungus resistance to fungicides.

A complete article about the experiments and results can be read in issue 290 of the Cultivar Grandes Culturas magazine (which will be completed in the next few days).
