DuPont Escola educational program benefits municipal education institution in Castro-PR

 In partnership with Cooperativa Castrolanda, DuPont Crop Protection promoted another edition of the DuPont Escola socio-environmental program in the municipality of Castro (PR). The action was carried out, on the 14th, at the Municipal Rural School of Guararema, and was attended by more than 50 students from the 4th and 5th years of elementary school, as well as teachers and the school board.

A program of the socio-environmental platform Safety and Health in the Countryside, sponsored by DuPont, with national coverage, DuPont Escola is aimed at students and educators from schools located in agricultural regions. The initiative encourages the appreciation of agriculture and agro-environmental sustainability. The agenda of events covers lectures, debates, exhibitions, thematic video screenings, educational activities and games and competitions from the project's official magazine, called Meu Hérói, o Agricultor.
 
The socio-environmental platform Security and Health in the Countryside is also made up of four other projects: DuPont Mulheres no Campo, DuPont Universidade, DuPont Correct and Safe Use and DuPont Nature. According to DuPont, this set of programs has already benefited more than 1,3 million people in recent years, in the main agricultural regions of Brazil.
 
In 2017, the DuPont School Program's central themes were the rational use of water and energy and clean and sustainable energy matrices, according to DuPont's general manager of Product Safety and Environment, Felipe Ramos.
