With a total of 11.664 people trained in Brazil and Paraguay, DuPont Pioneer closed its 2015 training calendar on Responsible Product Management.

The training, which is part of the ETS program - Excellence Through Stewardship (Excellence through Responsible Management http://excellencethroughstewardship.org/), of which the company is a participating member, began in June 2015 and was carried out in field days, lectures, fairs and technical and/or commercial training. They included 14 states and more than 46 municipalities, involving the company's commercial and agronomic teams, producers, partners and channels from Brazil and Paraguay.

Among the topics covered were Agricultural Scenario and Evolution of Resistance, Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Good Management Practices, Insect Resistance Management (MRI) and Weed Management.

For the company, Bt technologies should be seen as one of the pest control tools, and should be used within an intensive management program including IPM and MRI practices, highlights José Humberto Vecchio, Training and Commercial Development supervisor at DuPont Pioneer.

“The training cycle restarts in January 2016, as DuPont Pioneer believes that the understanding and propagation of good management practices for controlling insect resistance among agribusiness participants, whether they are producers, cooperative technicians, sellers or reseller owners is essential for preserving existing technologies and maintaining their level of control for longer”, concludes Vecchio.
