DuPont and Tchê Produtos Agrícolas award students from the municipal network of Buritis (MG)

The municipal schools João da Pena Lobo and Santa Luzia, both located in the Serra Bonita district, in the municipality of Buritis (MG), participated in the DuPont Escola Program in the last few days. The events were held by the regional company Tchê Produtos Agrícolas, a distributor of agricultural inputs, in partnership with the company DuPont Protection de Cultivos. On the occasion, the two companies delivered bicycles to the authors of the best texts and drawings produced by students based on the theme My Hero, the Farmer.

At João da Pena Lobo school, the winning students were Brenda Almeida Muller, Luis Felipe Gomes Fernandes, Rian Igor Lacerda Santos, Matheus da Silva Guedes, Adriele da Silva Santarém and Wislley de Oliveira Moura.

At Santa Luzia school, the recipients were Evellin Araújo Sousa, Laura Mendes Gomes, Gabriella P. de Santana, Kiminy Alves Rodrigues, Eduarda G. de Melo Branco and Vitória Tolentino Oliveira.

A socio-environmental platform program Safety and Health in the Field, sponsored by DuPont and with national coverage, DuPont Escola is aimed at students and educators in rural schools. The initiative encourages the appreciation of agriculture and agro-environmental sustainability. The agenda of events covers lectures, debates, exhibitions, thematic video screenings, educational activities and games and competitions from the project's official magazine, called Meu Hérói, o Agricultor.

In 2017, the DuPont School Program's central themes are the rational use of water and energy and clean and sustainable energy matrices, according to DuPont's general manager of Product Safety and Environment, Felipe Ramos.

The socio-environmental platform Safety and Health in the Field It is also made up of four other projects: DuPont Women in the Field, DuPont University, DuPont Correct and Safe Use and DuPont Nature. According to DuPont, this set of programs has already benefited more than 1,3 million people in recent years, in the main agricultural regions of Brazil.

Commercial representatives André Caetano de Morais and Romeu Santos were the coordinators of the Buritis events, held for almost 280 students from early childhood education and from the 1st to the 9th year of elementary school.
